MTDC Harihareshwar Resort is a luxurious budget accommodation option, not far from the Harihareshwar Temple, and opposite the Harihareshwar beach. The rooms are luxurious, and especially their sea view super deluxe cottages, are charming, elegant and clean.

I was in MTDC Harihareshwar Resort for 3 days – one day in the executive non ac rooms in the upper building and 2 days in the sea view super deluxe AC cottages located by the sea.

The executive ac and non ac rooms are basic but homey and come with a balcony. You can see the beach and their sea cottages at a distance from the balcony.

A much better option than the non ac rooms, also the ones that I would highly recommend to you, are the sea view super deluxe ac cottage rooms downstairs which are much closer to the sea. The resort has a total of 7 sea view super deluxe cottages but owing to the cyclone Nisarg, only 3 are operational as of now (December 2020). The rest of the cottages are a sorry sight to see with damaged rooftops and unkempt maintenance.

The sea view cottages have a lovely ambiance – woody, rustic and old world era and an unmatched serenity that makes your stay worth every charged penny.

There are 5 category of rooms at the resort to choose from – executive room ac, executive room non ac, premium suite ac, sea view cottage ac, sea view deluxe super ac. All these rooms can easily book the different types of rooms through the official MTDC online website or at the resort itself. I would suggest to go for advance booking during peak seasons of October to December and during weekends which sees a lot of tourist footfall at the resort.

Sachin (r) helped us with fixing our car

While driving to the hotel, one of the tyres of our car got punctured. Worried, we began searching for the nearest garage to get it fixed. That's when the helpful staff at the MTDC Harihareshwar resort came to our rescue. The young boy Sachin along with his aide Sumit left no stone unturned to get our tyres in place even though it took them 2 hours to do the same.

The resort manager Mr. Bapu Langhi was also available at our service and made sure we had a comfortable stay. We can't thank them enough for their hospitality - it is because of such comfort and helpfulness that just another hotel becomes a warmstay that, if given a chance, you would return to in the blink of any eye!
